Digitization is the process that involves an analog signal being converted to a digital signal. When we convert analog data, media, or other information that is an analog signal, it can be represented by a series of discrete numerical values that are more associated with digital signals. Digital signals generally benefit a customer through better service, more transparency, and faster transfer of knowledge. The major disadvantage of going digital is the higher expense associated with it, though the benefits outweigh this disadvantage.
